The Joys of a Fish Tank Screen Saver

Screensavers are important in keping your monitor screen from getting damaged. If an image remains motionless on the screen for too long, the image can end up burning itself into the screen. This effectively, ruins your monitor and you will have to replace a costly piece of your computer system. So, the screensaver will be automatically activated after a period of inaction to create a picture or object that will constantly move about the screen and thus eliminate the burn screen problem.

Screensavers have moved on from the industry standard, that seems to be a microsoft logo bouncing around. These screensavers,while useful are dull and lifeless. Granted, a fish tank screen saver is not as cool as those DVD’s that “play” a fish tank on your TV and saving you the trouble of buying real fish. On second thought, scratch that. Fish tank DVD’s are absolutely idiotic. While it is true some of those DVD’s are marketed for cat’s to watch; cats will generally ignore such a dumb item.

Depending on the type of fish tank screensaver and the specification of your computer you can select from a variety of landscapes. You can also download more fish to your tank to get a bit more variety into the tank. The regular things happen on the screensaver that might occur in a fish tank. Bubbles trickle to the surface, plants bend and ruffle from the water currents and fish come and go as they might do in real life. All the graphics and movements are incredibly realistic and you will watch the tanks for quite a few minutes to see all that is going on. After a while you will get back to work so don't worry about getting too distracted.

So, consider a Fish tanks screensaver rather than settling for the normal, standard issue screensavers. Apart from the postive affects it will have on the health of your computer it might also give you some satisfaction and calmness when you most need it. It will add quite a bit of spark to your personal computer terminal. Be warned, however, a piranha screensaver will probably prove unnerving to fellow co-workers and may even kill off any chance at promotion. Stick with the more sane and sensible fish tank screen saver programs out there and you will do fine.
